Man Caught with Stolen Firearm, Two Grams of Crack Cocaine
Information is from the Lancaster City PD July 19, 2011:
At 12:35 a.m., Tuesday, the Lancaster Community Safety Coalition contacted Lancaster County Wide Communications to report that a Safety Coalition camera operator had just observed two males carrying handguns in the area of Church St. and Pershing Ave. Officers responded to the area and continued to receive updated information on the location of the suspects.
The Safety Coalition advised that the suspects had moved to the 1st block of Locust St. two officers quickly located the suspects and detained them. Both suspects were found to be in possession of handguns. Ryan Matthew Brown, 24, was in possession of a Taurus .357 Magnum revolver. Brown does not possess a permit to carry firearms. Brown was charged with Firearms not to be Carried Without a License. He was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $20,000.00 bail.
Osvaldo Luis Acosta-Castillo (pictured above), 19, had a loaded Taurus PT-25 .25 caliber handgun in his pants pocket. This firearm was reported stolen on February 4, 2011, to the Emmaus Police department. Acosta-Castillo also had approximately two grams of crack cocaine in his possession. He was charged with Firearms not to be Carried Without a License, Receiving Stolen Property, and Possession With Intent to Deliver Crack Cocaine. He was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $40,000.00 bail.
